About SOS Children’s Village of Taiwan
SOS Children’s Village of Taiwan is part of SOS Children’s Villages International, a global non-political and non-religious organization founded in 1949 by Dr. Hermann Gmeiner in Austria.
Guided by the spirit of “SOS – Save Our Souls”, the organization provides family-like care for children who have lost parental care or have experienced neglect and abuse, offering them a loving and safe environment to grow.
Established in 1970 at Taoyuan, this branch originally cared for orphans and abandoned infants, later evolving to focus on children affected by domestic violence and behavioral challenges. Through family-style care and education, SOS Children’s Village of Taiwan continues to give these children safety, love, and hope for a brighter future.
