In 2023, we launched our first full-scale event, and the Malaysia Diecast Expo (MDX) stepped up with remarkable dedication. They took on a significant financial risk—reshaping their show schedule, separating from a joint event, and fully investing in organizing an independent exhibition. What could have been a major challenge turned into a milestone success. MDX 2023 not only exceeded expectations but also set a new standard for hobby events and became a pride for the Malaysian diecast community.
Unfortunately, the road hasn’t been smooth since. It’s no secret that the Malaysian model market has recently faced significant turbulence. Rumors, misinformation, and shameless copycats have emerged—many aimed at discrediting the hardworking organizers of MDX. As long-time partners and friends, it’s heartbreaking to witness such negativity unfold in a community we know for its warmth, unity, and kindness. This drama does not reflect the true Malaysian spirit we admire and respect.
At MINI GT, we remember those who have believed in and supported us along the way. Now, it is our turn to show our unwavering support to our friends at MDX. It is also truly heartening to see that many of you share the same mindset. Standing by those who share our values has never been more important. That’s why we want to thank the model car dealers who have shown consistent support—not just for MINI GT, but for the very spirit of this hobby.
